Branden Heath
Physician Assistant
Branden Heath received his Masters in Physician Assistant studies from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has practiced both primary care and psychiatry throughout his career.
In 2018, Branden transferred to Yakima Neighborhood of Health Services and assumed care for the homeless population. He treated patients who had never sought out medical help who had long histories of mental illness and trauma. Shortly after moving, the challenge of treating mental health with limited providers and support became apparent. Branden provided working diagnosis in collaboration with other mental health professionals and became proficient in treating schizophrenia, mood disorders, substance abuse disorders, and others. Through his experiences navigating the complexity of healthcare systems and the difficulty of gaining access to competent, affordable mental health care, he co-founded Mindful.
